The board has received some applicants from the Membership for the part-time role of Executive Director for the Association and they will consider these a the next board meeting. If you would like to be considered for this role, please contact Jacqui Williams in the office by phone or email.
2016 WEED CUT DATES
The dates for weed cutting in 2016 have been set and approved by the Environment Agency. All current members have received copies, as well as local councils/parishes.
River-fly Data Collection
River-fly data collected by monitors is considered to be one of the most important tools we have to keep the rivers healthy. When the river-fly life is checked regularly we get an indication of the quality of the water in our rivers. This data is then used by the Association to ensure that the Environment Agency are aware of any issues before they become major problems.
We are currently reviewing the list of trained monitors on our rivers to ensure that we cover all areas of our rivers. The data collected by these monitors will be added to the data on the ARMI website in our own section. In time this section will be linked to this website to enable members to have easy access to the data.
If any monitors have data which hasn’t been delivered to the T&I Office we would be grateful if you could deliver this at your earliest convenience. We can then ensure that we show the widest range of data we have for our rivers.
Going forwards all data collected will be entered in the ARMI website, either by the monitor or by the T&I office.
