December Overview

Solent and South Downs (SSD) had below average rainfall in December, receiving 66% (59mm) of the long term average (LTA, 88.8mm). Monthly mean river flows across SSD ranged from below normal to notably high. End of month groundwater levels ranged from below normal to exceptionally high. Soils across SSD ended the month wetter than the average for December. End of month reservoir stocks were above average at Ardingly Reservoir (Ouse) and below average at Arlington Reservoir (Cuckmere).

November Overview

Solent and South Downs (SSD) had average rainfall in November, receiving 102% (91mm) of the long term average (LTA) rainfall (89.6mm). Monthly mean river flows across SSD ranged from normal to notably high. End of month groundwater levels ranged from normal to exceptionally high. Soils across SSD ended the month wetter than the average for November. End of month reservoir stock at Ardingly Reservoir (Ouse) was above average, and below average at Arlington Reservoir (Cuckmere) .

October Overview

Solent and South Downs (SSD) had average rainfall in October, receiving 121% (104mm) of the long term average (LTA) rainfall (85mm). Monthly mean river flows across SSD ranged from above normal to exceptionally high. End of month groundwater levels ranged from normal to exceptionally high. Soils across SSD ended the month much wetter than the average for October. End of month reservoir stocks at Ardingly Reservoir (Ouse) were above average, and at Arlington Reservoir (Cuckmere) were below average.

Soils across SSD ended the month much wetter than the average for September. End of month reservoir stocks were below average at Ardingly Reservoir (Ouse) and at Arlington Reservoir (Cuckmere).

Monthly mean river flows across SSD ranged from normal to exceptionally high. End of month groundwater levels ranged from normal to exceptionally high. Soils across SSD ended the month drier than the average for August. End of month reservoir stock was above average at Ardingly Reservoir (Ouse) and was below average at Arlington Reservoir (Cuckmere).
